Aline Lua Lago (° Salvador de Bahia) is a Brazilian singer songwriter. She started her career at the age of 14. Traditionally Gospel trained, “Lua” is a professional Bossanova, Latin-jazz, Groove and Pop singer. Soon she was singing in several Bahian Carnival and MPB bands. At the age of 18, she was invited to join the Ensemble of “Brazil Tropical” Company in Europe, and travelled the world as the lead singer of this famous Brazilian musical. She performed also in other musicals such as “Terra Latina”, “Paris Paradise” and “Passionate Irish”. During this period she settled in Brussels, Belgium. After having worked years with the company, she started a solo project end of 2007. Together with her “Brazilian All Stars” band, she was bringing a repertoire of Bossanova, Jazz and Groove. Besides her own compositions, she was singing Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso, Elis Regina, Marisa Monte, etc. End 2009, begin 2010 Lua was invited to play and sing in “The best of Musical Fieber”, the 5 year anniversary tour in Germany, collecting scenes from popular musicals all over the world. She performed in more than 50 shows all over Germany. In 2010-2011 she was the lead singer of the Latin Big Band “Los Bandidos del Viage”, the 17 headed home big band of the new Brussels Casino-Theatre “Viage”, also performing on the main stage of big festivals such as Polé Polé Gent and Beleuvenissen Leuven. Together with musicians Pierre Enkaert (piano), Hendrik Vanattenove (contrabass) and Peter Schneider (percussion) she formed the “LUA’s Quartet” singing Bossa-nova, Latin- jazz in Jazz clubs. Her Singing style of velvet rhythm-groove tempo with Latino influences is unique in our areas. With her charming voice and her captivating live performances, she gives a personal interpretation to the bossa-jazz groove scene.
